Hello all, As you see, this is my first post.

I have just recently started playing the ToT version, and I used to have the original CivII. (Gave it to my son)

The major thing I hate that they added is the way the game will stop when I get to far ahead of the other Civs! This has resulted in a huge drop in my top scores. (My best now is 59% finished in 1700's).

My question is this: Is there a way to turn this off? Or better yet delete it completely?

Any help would be appreciated!

I have TOT also and I'm having trouble when playing original (not extended original) that may be similar to yours. I'm wondering what triggers it? I find that for me (I don't remember this ever happening in the past but it happens now) the discovery of "why the world exists" happens once I research around Future Tech. 5. If it's the same for you I reccomend that you do what I"ve been doing, once you reseach all the techs turn your science to 0 and make sure you don't have any scientists.

I don't have ToT, but from what I remember about some of the earlier discussions, this win is caused by the Transcendance tech. I'm not sure if it's an active choice, or if it just researches "on its own," though.
