I'm looking for something like Kerbal Space Program Alarm Clock mod for Civ 6. Does it exist?

If I could set a reminder for a particular upcoming turn with a name or short note, that would be great.

If the reminders could trigger automatically based on certain events, like when some building or unit is constructed, or research reaches max inspiration potential, that would be even better.

Failing that, what strategies do you use to remind yourself when you plan to do something on some future turn?

when i lose two trade routes for switching out of merchant republic, i am always hesitant to put those traders to sleep. same with builders, if there is something i want them to do in a few turns but they can't now, i generally order them to skip turn rather than sleep because otherwise there's a better than poor chance i will forget about them. i lose boosts all the time for techs/civics that were just about to be boosted. i like your idea of an alarm clock, but it would have to be well designed and subtle. i wouldn't want to be asked to set an alarm adding countless more clicks throughout the game, but a simple, easy to use, generic turn alarm with the ability to label it might be useful.

Should be a fairly easy mod to make. But many of these events are already notified in the game, but maybe a more overt way is better.
Example could be to set a notification that when trade route capacity increases, add as well if the player has inactive or sleeping traders.

CQUI has this function, which is quite useful, and it expands the map pin system with a larger selection of icons to make it a bit easier to mark out potential district sites and make notes on how best to expand.

As for a more general purpose alarm-clock type thing, I guess it could make for an interesting mod with a few uses. Alternatively, you could always keep a pen and paper handy to *gasp* keep some handwritten notes whilst you play? :p

I use map pins (I put the pins out in the ocean near my territory). Although lately I've been getting bugginess with the map pins, and sometimes the text gets deleted or switched with another pin. I mostly use these in regards to research agreements since I can never remember which research agreements I agreed to.

And to think everyone complains that water tiles don't have enough uses! Turns out they just aren't being smart about it. :D

I just downloaded Civ VI last week and had the exact same question. I couldn't find a mod that does this, so I spent the weekend and made one myself.

Here's the Steam Workshop link. There's never been a better time to stay at home and play Civ!
