Turning off diplomacy?

Hi All,

Is there a way to play Beyond the Sword with diplomacy turned off i.e it is every man for himself?

You can turn off individual victory conditions in the custom game screen.

You could select 'always peace' in the custom game setup, but obviously the AI can still dislike you and refuse trade and such. But you don't have to worry about wars. You can't declare either though.

What parts of diplomacy don't you like?

maybe it's more correct always war. Non diplomacy, only war.

If you specify always war is it all the civs against you or every man for himself

never tried to be honest, but you can try it, it is simple. I think that everybody is always in war with everybody, a ruthless bloodbath without mercy.

'Always War' option means that every computer opponent is at war with the human for the entire game. It does NOT mean that they are at war with each other. In fact they most likely are not.

Unfortunately, all the AI civs will be at peace with each other. However, this mod should enable all the civs to be at war with each other (I haven't tried it myself).

Yes, imagine my surprise when I first tried it.

You can't. Diplomacy can't be turnd off, as in Russia, diplomacy is following you.
