Two DOWs in Two turns

So, I'm Bismarck and I start out with a good start, with horses, iron, coal, oil, wine and sugar,along with wheat and cows. I then founding Hamburg and Munich (I now have three cities) and about 30-40 turns later Napoleon declares war on me. I have Cannons, Riflemen and Cavalry. He somehow already has artillery and has a few murderous foreign legions mixed in with his riflemen. Now, Lyon was founded nearly right next to Munich and, when they declared war they moved all there units in, annihilated mine and took it in 4 turns (but I managed to take out 2 Riflemen, a Foreign Legion and an Artillery with it. But, on the second turn of the Munich siege the Spanish decided to declare war on me too, and they had INFANTRY and artillery. Aghhhh!!!!!! So this forced me to build a ton of units to defend Hamburg. Luckily, they were at war with each other too, so they fought each other and I managed to make peace with Spain and I took back Munich.

Ouch. This scenario sounds like you were playing as the Civ 5 AI, and not the opposite way around :$

I once had 4 DoWs in the same turn. And I hadn't even taken over a city before.

So, I was playing again as Japan, and both England and America do the same thing. Luckily, I managed to hold the line and built up a huge line of artillery and repelled all their assaults. Buy the English they were really far away, so their land attacks were limited but they had a pretty big fleet of Ships of the Line, which I promptly destroyed with my Destroyers. So this game turned out a bit better for me.

Well in my only single game of One City Challenge I had Germany ambush my scout and in the same turn another Civ DoW as well.

Soon it was everyone on little old me.

Went down fighting.

You sure its not something your doing ? i have never had that happen to me xD

I normally try to keep good relations up though, so i can see them going down and prepare for anything, InfoAddict mod helps

Yeah that looks like bad luck to you. What reason did the AI have for attacking your nation?

The only reason I could think of France attacking me was that they wanted my resources as we were competing for the best city spots. The Spanish probably wanted more land to, but diplomatically I had never done anything to annoy Spain. By the way Spain was Friendly when they attacked me. France was Annoyed and had denounced me before, Just goes to show you how unhinged this Ai was.
