This thread was initially on the Tech Support forum, but due to the infuriatingly lethargic response (i.e. none) after 36 hours, I decided to put it up here, where I might get a better response.

A week days ago, I noticed that I was unable to save my game in Civ V. I normally play with mods (just a few civs and a religion), so I checked out the normal, unmodded game. It was working perfectly fine, in regards to saving.

The mods I am using are, as mentioned above, a few civilizations and a religion, none of which have had any problems in the past.

Here, have a picture:

I checked the logs and compared them with those generated from an unmodded game, but there were no major differences between the two.

I verified my Steam files, multiple times. That didn't work, either.

I searched the internet for this problem. Many people had the same problem, or one similar. None of these were solved.

I'm at a loss. I need someone to help me here.

Are you saying this problem appears only in your modded games, but not in unmodded games? Or that it now appears in unmodded games?

A number of mods were "broken" by the recent patch and/or hotfix, generating conflicts that yield buggy in-game behavior. In that case, your only choice may be to stop using the offending mod until the mod author issues an update.

Yes, I'm saying that it only happens in modded games. I'll check to see which ones don't work. Guess I'll just have to wait for a fix or something. What a shame.

EDIT: Update: It happens no matter which mods I enable, including DLC mods, and it even happens when I don't enable any. This means that the problem doesn't lie with the mods, but the patch itself.
