The "undo" button (like the button you find in MSWord and most softwares) would be a huge improvement according to me.

I can already hear all your objections, but we could limit it to one undo (i.e. clicking undo twice would have no effect the second time) and to those situations to which the computer has not yet responded.
Even such a limited undo would be a mindblowing improvemnt (according to me)

And it can't work if you have revealed any fog or blackness.

yes i hate it when you accidentally press the wrong button and leave your settler next to a barbarian...
but i think you cant undo attacks, i.e. you cant attack and then when you loose undo it

Isn't this what reloading is for? Just play with the evil preserve random seed off and go back to an autosave or regular save and fix what you did.

but then you cant submit in gotm
and random seed doesnt make a difference for what i said... i dont mean, loose a battle then refight. just if you press the wrong direction etc.

My worst experience was with a leader. I really wanted to rush a wonder, and I clicked "build army" instead.
One of the most distressing experiences of my civ-life
Undo would have saved me there
