Unique Unit: Ngao Mbeba

TheMarshmallowBear also spotted Acropolis at Drama and Poetry and the Legion.

Google translate says "shield bearer" in Swahili.

Swahili, hmm... It is a Bantu language, like Kongo, but maybe it means not Kongo?

If the languages are related, the word may have similar meanings in each.

If we assume that Kongo will be focusing on religion maybe the unit will give faith then it kills enemies like the Pictish Warrior in civilization V

That would be cool, but I'd much prefer that to be linked to unique ability, it's too period-related to be useful if they go down that path again.

Wikipedia suggests Kongo relied on archer levies for military with smaller heavy infantry corps that carried swords and shields- Portuguese documents referred to them as adagueiros (shield bearers). As many as 20,000 of these infantry remained in the capital at all times. Perhaps this is what is being referred to with the unique?

Great research man! I wonder if they'll consider this when thinking of the gameplay, and give them some sort of bonus near the capital?

Seems reasonable, although maybe too much like Mehal Safari.
