Unit Kill Counters

It might be a nice feature but would there really be any use to it especially later in the game where you may have a huge number of units and really not have the time to follow which unit is actually attacking...

Whether any of you have played Cossacks it had a counter although it is on a slightly different scale. I believe that there should be some bonus for a huge number of skills like becoming hero of your civ. With negatives that come into play if he dies. This would also tie into my topic of propaganda and how it should be revamped and improved

Should a unit with a high kill rating be harder to kill somehow?
-either through a higher attack value or more hit points or something?

They obviously have a ton of experience

Well they would already be elite so they should have an extra hitpoint or two but perhaps there should be an extra level for those units that have killed a huge amount of units...

I don't think that a kill list per unit would be needed, as already explained by Dell19. At least later in the game and / or on bigger maps (which make for more units, generally) you wouldn't look to individual units' kill lists anymore.
I like the reanimation of the total casualties list, though.
This could be used for scoring and MGL creation, as well.

Let me explain:
Nation A (with current casualties of 50) is at war with nation B (current casualties of 100). A's military counts for 100 units, B's military counts for 75 units. That means, that B's unit/kill ratio is much worse than A's one.
In real life, this would mean that B's military is less experienced/trained than A's.
Now, if an elite unit of B would kill a unit of A, there could be a higher chance of creating an MGL! Why? Because you could say that if a less experienced unit (although on the same level) kills another one, this has to be due to it's individual commander's skills.
This way, even weaker nations (in regards to above stated unit/kill ratio) would have a chance to measure up with the "stronger" one.

Furthermore, the military score could be calculated based on the units/lost units/killed units ratio.

So, the player would have an incentive to make good military manouvres, instead of just playing around.

Comments?

It could also just be a simple little add on, like how they show the workers captured and lost in that little box down the bottom of the military screen. Maybe they could just add in another box for military units killed and lost?

Well, imo I never liked them showing workers there, and showing units too would just make it too cluttered.
