Well my first intent was to make a MK3, but I finally went for the 4 when I made MK4 turret an had the body shorter.

Beleive me, this is a MK4. Why ? Look at the turret.
It is inclined (when you see it in a "front" view) much more than a MK3 and it has visible surfaces at the bottom (joinning the turret's sides to the body (look at the picture below).
I made this shapes. As the unit is seen from a point up, you can't relly see it but you can figure it with shadows. Have a closer look on my preniew images posts.


About the camo : well I'm not an israeli citizen, but I went there several times and have many occasions to see them (when you've got friends on duty in the army, that's easy ) and they have both camos. In fact I saw much more sandy-brown tanks than green. That's why I choose that. See next post.

Actually your turret does look like the Mk. 4 version true enough. I actually realized this before you replied to my post. My apologies. Just the body is more like the Mk. 3 (you must hate picky people like me). And I of course agree that a lot of their tanks are sand color. Personally, I just much prefer a darker sand color like in the Mk 4 picture I posted on page 1. It's because in civ3 the desert and town colors are almost identical to the color of your tank and I think your camo maybe just too effective making it rather hard to see on a convoluted map. Also, I just think the darker version looks much cooler.

But I gotta say that the Merkava is a beautiful tank in any color. I wonder if the engineers considered aesthetic value when they designed it? If they didn't they sure got lucky.
