The Constitution-class starship NCC 1701-A (USS Enterprise)

For us "old school" Trekkers, this lovely lady would be an Enterprise Class Heavy Cruiser.

She looks beautiful nonetheless!

Morpheus how about doing the original Enterprise from the original series, as that started it all. BTW the refited Enterprise introduced in Star Trek the Motion Picture was called the Constellation class, as the refit totally redsigned the ship, so Star Fleet called it the Constellation Class, and only the original Enterprise is the Constitution class.

Star fleet has a habit of recycling classes when all of the operational ships of that class leave active service. That was the designation Gene Roddenberry had given it, he stated as to why he named the refit Constellation was because Captain Decker, who Kirk replaced, was the son of Commodore Decker whose ship was the USS Constitution class, the USS Constellation, in honor of his father, so said GR.
