hmm, not sure if this post goes here. Hope I got it right.

I've begun working on the next version of The Missing Links.
I've screened all the unit forums I know, but couldn't find what I was looking for: a Hitman.
This would be the industrial version of the Assassin: a secretive, invisible unit with hidden nationality, that's strong in attack, but very weak in defense. I want to make this available with Nationalism (for instance, it was a political assasination in Krotia I think, which led directly to WWI).
So I was thinking something like a non-military looking spy kind of dude with a pistol. Of course, this is just an idea and I'm open to suggestions.
Anyone ?
Thnx.
AK.

(FYI: The Missing Links had about 300 downloads in the first 10 days, so your unit will be put to good use).

a "hit man" would be more in line wiht a prohabition era gangsta'! :D

The assassination that led to the outbreak of WWI was in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

I agree with Xen that "Hitman" isn't suggestive of a political assassin. But I'll be hard pressed to come up with something much better if "Assassin" is to be considered already taken.

or is anyone aware of the existence of a Sniper or Modern Assassin, something along those lines ?

By the way, I'm also still looking for a decent Saboteur.

THnx,
AK.

Check the completed units forum, check a couple pages back, you'll find something similar to this, I think. Check the unit library, too. Don't only search as "hitman", but look at every preview and choose the one which resembles one the most.

I remember there was an Indian flavor unit called the "black cats", basicly a spec-ops team India have today. They might be used as political assassins. I use them as spec-ops units, but not assassins.

But having an assassin could be very useful with the new "stealth" option that comes with C3C.

(The Sarajevo assassin was in no way hired by the Serbian government; they were just couple of thugs payed for killing the Austrian archduke, and it was pure coincidence that he actually saw the car of the archduke pass by).
