Well, I've got the basic unit done. Only one direction. A little animation. No attack, run, or death. Perhaps later I or someone else can do these animations. I didn't want to spend much time on this unit as I'm supposed to be working on the Clipper Ship.

You can download the unit. The zip file has an ini. You'll have to add your own sounds.

Whoever tries it out, please give us a shot of it in-game next to a couple of ships. I'm curious how big it looks and how nice it is in the game.

I see a sea unit with movement of 1, capable of detecting submarines, capable of transporting a large number of both foot and non foot units, capable of transporting a large number of air units (including bombers without the foot flag), no attack but excelent defense, and long range bombardment (like radar artillery).

Btw, to make it look like a futuristic sea unit capable of moving, it could have an anti-gravity engine or something, you could remove the supports and make an air flowing animation or something beneath, kinda like a hovercraft.

I'll pick the air units then, since it has a big runway. Allow it to carry the big bombers which the standard carriers cant.

This unit looks so good, it's a shame I can't find a use for it in my mod.

The only trouble is when other units are next to it. Then everything looks a little more jumbled. This is unavoidable, of course.

It makes me want to see more massive units that take up a full nine tiles like this one. How about some really huge MFUs or a giant death star?

Now all we need is someone to make a airplane bombing animation then make its bombard strength really strong, and that could makeup for the not being able to transport lots of airplanes and units.
