Unit Request: Quinquereme

Has anybody made a large classical polyreme such as a Quinquereme? I haven't been able to find one (other than the seige ship made from two Quinqueremes with a seige tower on top).

I could very much use a Quinquereme for a naval mod I'm making. I'm willing to grovel and beg obsequiously , if that helps.

Do you mean his Roman Trireme? It's a gorgeous unit, but it's little small for what I'm thinking. I'm thinking of the sort of monsters used at the Battle of Actium.

Look for Kryten's "Pirate Galley" -- IIRC it's actually a quinquereme.

If you're referring to this unit, it's just a regular galley with a furled sail.

I would second any simple quinquireme which I miss sorely in RFRE. A kind of Aaglo's Siege catamaran with just one hull!

There's also Greek trireme, but that's even smaller than the roman trireme, so I guess that wouldn't work either...

That's an awesome unit, and I was planning on using it for my standard trireme unit. But I also need something larger--Quinquereme sized--preferably with a little fighting castle fore and aft, and a couple of ballistae or catapults so I can give it a little bombard attack.

We don't really know what Quinqueremes looked like, and most authorities don't even believe they actually had five banks of oars (most think they had multiple oarsmen with one or three banks of oars), so I could make a Quinquereme by just increasing the size of your Roman Trireme a bit and adding another fighting castle, but my lowly skills are inadequate even for that relatively simple task.

I don't suppose you'd be interested in making a Quinquereme unit for this most unworthy of subjects, oh Great and Wonderful Maker of Ship Units, Forever Hallowed Be Thy Sacred Name?

I second again for a new leviathan of the sea !! Aaglo, it would be great if you could rework your siege quinquireme or Roman trireme into a simple (mono)quinquireme!
