OK, since it seems to be most dominant uniform colors in midst XVIII century were red and white, i stabled to use unit shields to mark them.

( ? marked ones are not sure... :) )

What do you think about these shields?:)

PS coloured names represents civs ( i.e. French and their allies, Spanish and their allies, and so on ). Genova is intended as barbarian city for strategic reasons.

:p ooops... ;)

The shields are good. I would like to suggest a correction to the British shield. The Union Jack at this time did not have the red diagonal cross (the cross of St. Patrick) on top of the white cross, just the white cross (St. Andrew). Pictures with the Union Jack from the 7 Years War, (your topic predates that), show the Union Jack with only the white diagonal cross. The modern Union Jack did not exist until sometime after 1800.

I have only just figured this out myself, so I wanted to share my discovery.
