Tam = Cold War time (80s)
Tap = Cold War end time (90s) as follow up to the TAM, never saw prototype status due to lacking prospective international demand and thus non-profitability of the perspective project. Iran, initialy interested in the TAP shifted its focus towards the Brazilian EE-T1 Osório project. Ironically neither the TAP nor the Osorio would see any sales in the end (Osorio only ever had two prototypes produced), as Iran as well as several Arab states that had been also been interested in modernizing their armies, abandoned their plans for a purchase along the events of the increasing tensions in the Persian Gulf region.
Argentina used some refitted Crusaders as self propelled guns in the WWI era. After mentioned tanks it would use the "Patagón", an copy of a tank destroyer, practically an indigenous copy of the Austrian SK-105 Kürassier and French AMX-13. Ironically only one Patagón was ever completed. So my guess is that any of these three would fit the role of a light tank or tank destroyer, predating the TAM. And... that's pretty much it.
