Units Request for Fantasy Mod

That would be interesting. The only problem I forsee is when a couple of those nations turn on eachother and then Aiel will fight eachother, but then that is the beauty of playing Civ3 games, to change the outcome of the whole picture, maybe the Aiel could be some of those without clan who fight for their new wetland lords. There is a new resource with a sword stuck in a stone and it could represent the Aiel's dislike of swords. You can find it in the Graphix Forum and the thread is called 10 new resources for fantasy or something along that line. It would be cool to have only 1 resource available, besides Tabac.
 
I've been experiencing server difficulties, so operations have basically shut down the past couple of days. (I'm currently writing this on someone else's computer)

One way to get around the Aiel to Aiel combat would be to form locked alliances on the scenario page, and then be wary of trading tabac to anyone outside those alliances. I was planning on giving the Aiel the enslavement ability to produce gai'shain too (more industrious worker/terraforming units + a defense bonus to avoid recapturing).

The sword stuck in the stone also sounds perfect for callandor (spelling prob. wrong) in the Stone of Tear. I'll find a way to work it in somehow. :)

As for the mod, I haven't had anyone approach me about creating special units, so I'll probably just work on putting a scenario out there with some extra units and altered wonders, and see where it goes from there. I've gotten some great suggestions for unit assignments on this thread and others, plus I have plenty of ideas floating around in my head. But I'll probably start a new thread in the next couple of days to gather some suggestions to fill in the blanks.
 
I figured out a way to have the Aiel in it, without it being to much to deal with. Having only 2 groups of Aiel, Shiado Aiel and regular Aiel. That way they're at constant war alright. Also should have a whole bunch of UU for them... Stone Doggies for Spearman, Maiden of the Spear for Scouts, and of course Jenn Aiel for Settlers or Workers. Is there a way for the enslave command to only work on certain units? That way the Aiel can swap Gai'shan... but the gai'shan are more powerful then normal workers.... no way to have them disband I guess. I can make the units, and the civ-pedia entries, but my artwork sucks. I do have parts of the mod I'm working on started already... mainly on the tech-tree side. I got a whole lot of ideas, and have read the series so many times I can tell you how many whiskers Perrin has in his beard.:p:p

Oh yeah, should have mentioned. I'm more interested on the Aiel, Seafolk, and Seanchan... if you'd like to work together, I'm willing. You can get all the Wetlands.:p

This is all music to my ears. I'd love to work together on it. I've got tons of ideas too (and have been experimenting with lots of them in my own personal scenario). I've changed a lot of the wonders, worked out the civs, and figured a lot of the UU's (some tradeable like illuminators/hwach'a, others enslaved like gaishan, wolves by perrin, and on and on). I just picked up Poser5 to fill in some of the gaps, but I haven't had time to learn it yet. But if you're up for creating the units and such... awesome!

I've been away from it for a couple of weeks (recently moved), but I'll go over all my notes and things to catch up to speed. I'd love to hear all of what you got in mind too. If you can't tell just by the length of my response... I'm excited.
