Units you would like to see in Civ4 expansion

maybe in a small scale scenario but squares are much bigger than that. I could understand putting in a unique unit like the paris gun, or the dora railway cannon. but in the full game the time scales and map scales are too big for that to make any sense.


yeah.. insted of mechanised infantry being a unit (is it in civ 4?) have a few types of infantry and an APC unit.

and if you thought spearmen did well before tanks in the past, watch now that they could have APC's..

some early AA-unit

basically more modern units, as I personally don't like to conquer the world with hordes of swordsmen in the middle ages. Just feels wrong to me. I always prefered to play my games to the modern age.

Most of these units are in Civ3, don't know why they kicked them all out.
 
I like the ideas on Bombardment, AEGIS Cruiser, Troop Transport, Guerilla & Unique units for each epoch for everyone. I'd like to see the SAS in the game. Perhaps only built in the capital and can only attack once before being returned to the capital, perhaps with a max unit limit too.

Perhaps there could be a Horse Drawn Cannon that requires 1 turn to set up but has movement of 2. It could be a unique unit or an upgrade requiring you have access to Horses.

And BTW, one should not be able to upgrade units outside cities (port/barracks).

i miss the aegis cruisers, radar artillary. and the 8 unit transports!

Having a APC with a movement rate of 3 like modern armor would be nice.
