Units!

thanks, W.! That's great! :goodjob:

Damn! You must be my God! Could you make me some units as well? I am working on a WW1 scenario. A know that you have specialized on making infantrymen, but I need artillery fromm the beginning of the century. If not, I could use some German infantrys, French and American.:crazyeye:

Would love to but at the moment I don't have time :( my exams start next week and I am still typing on one project that has to be in before...

But there is plenty of WWII stuff around- I suggest U go to the download section and take a look at captain nemo's scenarios. There are also numerous good scenarios in the modern section- including new ones such as dictator 2 (is it up yet ;) ?) and the like- I am sure they will not mind if you use them for your scenario (don't forget to give them credit, though :))

Below you'll find some of soundwave's units (previous page ;)) and some of Nemo's WWI Units

Take a look at the Modern Era Scenarios 'History' (also by Soundwave) and 'Russian Civil War' by Nemo !!!

For artillery also look at Scenarios like 'the Boer War' (yet again: Nemo)- if you find something of the sort U'd like send me a pick- and I'll make it.. whenever... :)

The Boer War and Russian Civil War were actually made by Alex the Magnificient, not Nemo. You might be confused since Alex made a lot of Nemo's infantry units for him.

My exams also start next Friday (31st), so I won't need the IDF infantry unit for a while...

I must say, I'm impressed with your work. Do you use other graphics as "bases" for further development?

To insurgent:

Thank you :) ! Yup, it saves time and energy- and I find it hard to create large objects and keeping 3D lighting effects at the same time... the Merkava has been adapted from the body of AC's Centurion (note that the Merkava is slightly longer and the tracks have ben lenghtened and modified) and the M60 turret (here again I took the basic shape and worked around it to enlarge it and add hatches, gun, etc...) See below 4 illustration :scan:

Good Luck in your exams !!!!

New Napoleonic Units Compendium Posted in the dowloads section ;) (with special thanks to Thunderfall and the Civfanatics Team):

Take me to the preview & download !

A fair number of these will appear in the final MGE version of GNB... Enjoy !!!

I am making a new scenario, and I need these units (I'd make them but I'm HORRIBLE at computer drawing):

A Catapult, just it already launched it's stone (the stone is in the top middle, exclude the Catapult if you have to.)

A middle ages group of cavalry units, identical ecept for the riders are wearing different coulered uniforms in these colors:
Light blue
Yellow
Dark Blue
Orange
Green

Another one of those, ecept the rider is OFF the horse and is holding a shield. This one is white.

A 8th century Warship

A Monk

A large transport galley, with Catapults on board.

Frigates, coverd in iron, with a White flag and one with a Yellow flag.

The feild Artillery from the the Civil War scenario and the Seige Engine from the Mongol scenario (copy and paste does HELL to my computer)

Thanks in Advance!!!

Work continues apace on my reworking of Dictator II - V2.
Here are some new units from it;

Hannemog,
Panther,
KonigsTiger,
Tiger,
Panzer III,
Me262,
SAS,
FW190 Dora.

W.i.n.t.e.r., if it's not too much to ask, I could really use that IDF Infantry unit soon. Will you please make it? :) :goodjob:

Also, could I make you create a Sherman tank in the same "style" as the Merkava?

Thanks, it's quite suitable.
:)
The Merkava, the IDF Inf., and the Sherman were just the units, that were "urgently needed". Really I think there are too many recycled and unoriginal/unsuitable units, that I would like renewed. They are marked on the units file below, so if anyone will help me with those, I would be very grateful. Also, the units file can serve as an example of the "style" I'm seeking(;)):

I like your unit mix, but were you aware that during the 67 and 73 conflicts, the IDF fielded British Centurians and US M-48s and M-60s? It seems that if you're going to use the Super-Shermans, which, btw, were still filling out Israeli armored battalions in 73, that you might want to include these other, more modern tank types as well. Many of the armored battalions that fought in the 73 tank battles in the Sinai were American-made main battle tanks.

The Super-sherman is only supposed to be the Israeli tank of the 1948 war. Should I employ it in the 56, 67, and 73 scenarios too? My system is this:
WWI Armour: deployed by the Israelis and Arabs in 1948
WWII Armour: deployed by the Israelis in 1948 and 1956, and by the Arabs in 1956 and 1967.
Armour: deployed by the Israelis in 1956 and 1967, and by the Arabs in 1967 and 1973.
Adv. Western MBT: deployed by the Israelis in 1967, 1973, and 1982.
Adv. Russian MBT: deployed by the Arabs in 1973 and 1982.
Merkava MBT: deployed by the Israelis in 1982.

Should something be changed, any ideas and suggestions?
