Units!

Can we have the pirate units too, pretty please

Sure, of course you can- only thing is... [pimp] ... well this particular one is mostly the making of ALEX, while the ships are by AROSCH2000...

I've enclosed both the original and the ones I am using (subtile changes include the face, neck, arms, boots & Saber) for the Pirates. And I made him a little bit bigger, thats all (Napoleon is for instance enlarged as well to fit in better).
The original ship depicted here is a light frigate, as opposed to the Pirate vessel (here I only added the shield, and some black flags) for atmosphere.

If its pirates you are after, check the modpacks at:
CIV 2000

The ships I knew about, I recogniced them from Arnes Collection (AROSH stands for Arne Shmied;) he has posted in this thread too)
I had not seen that pirate unit though, I really like it, I'm definatly going to be using that. :goodjob:

The collection by alex I had seen before as well, but not that pirate that you edited.

:EDIT: I managed to find it among the avatars now though :o:/edit:

Anyone got any cool jet or WW2 units they would like
to share or let me upgrade for this scenario?
It is going to feature many 1946 "what if" weapons
in a big USA vs Soviet war beginning in 1950!

Anyway, keep making those CIV2 scenarios!
Have you tried to make any B-29's? By making one of these you could actually killed two birds with one stone because you would also have the Soviet Tu-4 "Bull".:goodjob:

Actually I was hoping you would do some mods to them before you use them. I am not happy with the heavies. They just don't look right to me. I think the Airacobra is perfect however and I am quite proud of it. :goodjob:

Here are a few more from my currently on hold Korean war project. I am also working on a meteor and an F-81 night fighter which were mostly used for interdiction.

Jimmy I like the F-86 :goodjob:

Wow!
Jimmy, your units keep getting better and better

Very nice.

You don't have any more of those 1950's sabre-type fighters do you?

I would like your permission to use them, if it's cool?
:goodjob:

Gotha Go229,
Advanced Luftwaffe Interceptor.
From my Soviet Steel scenario...

 WOW !!! Very nice !!!

... but... hmmm- wasn't that thing supposed 2 become a bomber ??? Anyway, verrry nice !!!

Maybe a bomber or fighter?
This hypothetical flying wing is one of my fave WW2 designs!

Primarily it would have been a mutlirole, much like the USAF planes.

Probably a 'Jabo' and bomber-buster, given the war situation
and the G0229's heavy twin 30mm armament.

All these gleaming units!
Do you think it would be possible, one day, we could have the ability to give to each tribe its own units and its own cities? If we asked it to Sid, kindly, do you think he'd cogitate about, and perhaps, one day...

You can do that in scenarios. Simply give the unit an obsolete tech that everyone except its' intended civ has.
Eg: for a spitfire, set the obsolete tech to 'not British' (using one of the extra tech slots), and give the tech 'not British' to everyone except the Brits :)

This might not allways work, for example if you have a tech giving several units for different civs (say tiger tanks for the germans and JS2s for the Soviets in a WW2 scenario) and those units differ in their stats, only one of the civs will be able to build its unit, as the other civ notes that a better version of the unit it's able to build (same movement but different stats) is available but have gotten obsolete it will auto obsolete the unit it is supposed to have, and this is true for human civs as well the stats have to differ reasonably much though (I don't think just an extra attack point will do it) and this is only true if the units comes from the same tech (I think the units have to be "cavalry" as well, that is 2m> ).
