Unreal Tournament

Though it's quite a bit different then Civilization, I'm sure some of you play it as well. Is anyone up for a game in the near future? If you like to play, just reply here and we'll set something up. I'm actually quite interested how other Civ-fans are doing.

Note: I do not have much internet experience (that is, I haven't played online more than 3 times or so), but I have played some times on a LAN. Furthermore, I'm just a bit better than adept bots.

Have you ever played any of the levels that have the Quantum Fighter Jet mutator? That mutator is friggen awesome. Also you've got to love the Giant maps and Insta-gib (enhanced shock rifle). Anyone have the asia carrera skins . Yeah I guess I like the game. Online and single player have nothing to do with each other, just like civ.

I have it and I like it...Only really play capture the flag online at the moment and I was suprised that my lag didn't make me lose too much.

Ok, DaEezT, so I camp a little. So? You shouldn't play against me on Deck16.

By the way, my favorite map is Morpheus. Play against me there and I'm immortal. The only trouble is that the sniper rifle is so low. And snipering works best when you're high in the sky.

I like CTF and the map of choice is Facing Worlds ][.

I am a LPB 65 thru 150, so watch out for the "Head Shot!".

IM me for a game some time. Plus I ple TacticalOps, a mod that Dell got me into. I don't do as good in that, but it is a cool deversion for when you are tired of vanila UT.

Please, anyone that is into the game and has extensive knowledge of mods, help me get into them. I have only played TactOps and vanila UT.

Is there a combination of the sniper-railgun-bfg10k-redeemer? I just need such a weapon since I really hate and suck at FPS. Never liked those games for one reason. Your opponents move anywhere, jump and run everywhere. It's giving ming headache.

Well, not quite, but they do have a weapon called the "Redemer". It can be shot in 2 ways, fire-and-forget or guided. It explodes in a huge sphere of death but it doesn't kill in quite the range of Quake 1 and 2's BFG and like the BFG the explosion doesn't go around corners. Also, it is a one shot weapon unless someone has modded the server.

No, after deep checking (since my doom like knowledge was equal to zero, I searched on specific sites), PH is right. Quake 2 does have BGF. Check http://www.macgamer.com/resources/quake2/weapons/weapons-6.chtml if you are not convinced. It appears though, that the Q2 BFG is much more like the UT Redeemer than the Q3 BFG10K. Actually, it seems that ID altered it to make it less deadly but well it's still a lethal weapon in Q3. Not as powerful as in Q2 but still dangerous.
Haven't checked for Q1 but it should be the same. Congrats PH, you have good memory.

Btw, I only know one weapon in doom: the chainsaw. I saw people playing with it, in doom lan party championship. Seems that the champions always finish their opponents in finale, using that weapon.

DaEezT only pointed out that there is no BFG in Q1 and I think he is correct, but thanks for backing me up.

The BFG in Doom was a superkiller. I don't think it had a maximum range and if it did it was extremely long, but it did have the limitation of sight.

Quake 1 had the Thunderbolt but no BFG and nothing that can be compared to it.
