So I downloaded the new expansion and now it will not run and say "An error occurred while updating Civilization V (unspecified error)".
Verifying integrity of game cache does nothing.
Edit:
It seems a clean install of vanilla resulted in less of an update file size. When Gods and Kings loaded shortly after last midnight, it's size was over 4 GB. The clean install at noon resulted in a update size of just over 1 GB. This would have been all the DLC and Expansion.
