I've just found this forum after years of CIV3 playing. I have the normal version (what this forum seems to call "Vanilla"), and I am wondering about updating the game and how it works. I have 1 normal disc, and have never known it could really be updated. I want to know the benefits of updating (I have noticed that my version has a 9999999 gold per turn glitch for unlimited gold) and how exactly to do it.
I want to because I want to try modpacks, but they never seem to work--I don't really know why.
EDIT: Just ran Civ and I'm running version 1.07f, which I'm sure is outdated...
