Uploading: One file?!

Out of curiosity, why was the upload system changed to 1 file at a time? This is going to make it even more painful to upload pictures for my story. 3 was OK even though I would have liked 5... but 1 is just cruel

Probably to decrease congestion would be the most likely reason. And is it really that much longer of a wait? You're still uploading the same stuff over the same connection.

No, its just that you've got to load the "file successfully uploaded" page more often, hit back, enter a new file, hit upload, etc.
It's more convenient (IMO) to just pile up a whole whack of files, hit "upload" and go do something else for a while

I wonder this myself. I assume that it has to do with the upgrade.
