Uranium resource

I must be doing something wrong, I can't seem to resource uranium. I have in two cities, have mined and railed both but it doesn't show in the resources of my cities - meaning I can't build the units it enables.

Is there a simple explanation?

Yea that has thrown me off too... it's revealed with physics but not "enabled" until fission. So you can mine it for the immediate tile benefits but unfortunately you wont be able to use it for ship building etc until fission.

I had checked the civilopedia but hadn't noticed a reference to fission. I did read the factual history of Uranium though and needing fission to use uranium is consistant with that.

Yep. Until I figured this out I wondered why I couldn't upgrade to Attack Submarines.
