v1.52 text corrupted

After upgrading to v1.52 from 1.09, all text appear corrupted. Browsed various threads and tried suggestions like uninstall and install from scratch but in vein. Also tried to copy font files from 1.02 back to 1.52 but still failed.

Attached are two screenshots showing the problem. Any idea what's going wrong? Highly appreciated.

With trail & error, problem solved by setting GUIManagedTextures=1 in CivilizationIV.ini 8<
