Started a new game with v124, resulting in being defeated instantly. Tried with no other mods, same thing.
Also tried unzipping file outside of civ 5, no difference.

My version of Civ 5 is 1.0.1.511, not sure if its the most recent, although steam is set to auto update.
I have no DLC (could this be an issue due to the DLC updates in v124?)

I'll try again, going over the usual procedure.

EDIT: Not very handy with Firetuner, but here are the error segments:
Spoiler :

Do you have old versions of VEM in your mods directory. If so this is a known issue even if they are not enabled.

Try removing old versions, delete cache folder, ...

I have no previous versions of the mod in the mods folder, and have tried removing all other mods from the mods folder, with no success.
Have also tried removing AssignStartingPlots.lua and verifying game cache, with similar results.

So Skodkim are you having no problem with v124?

Haven't tried it yet and probably won't for a while since I'm in the middle of a game with VEM 123.
Remark was more in general terms as I've seen multiple bug reports that was a result of not removing old versions properly.

same problem here, will not post the messages since they are the same ;-) Seems to be a new problem since the solutions in the past don't seem to work, at least for me...

Thank you, I'm investigating now.

Update: I appear to have located the problem: while doing a find-replace in AssignStartingPlots.lua, the class definition got erroneously placed on a commented-out line. This should be fixed in v125.

Deleting the prior versions from my mods folder and deleting the cache folder fixed it for me. :)

Ive been having this issue lately. I delete cashe all that. Its getting on my nerves. I even did a full reinstall of civ 5. What am I doing wrong? Or what did I do?

This same thing happened today for me, configured the game, setting up, first turn, defeat, dont even get a chance. I'm using the latest patch (V3.1.6).
Does the mod doesn't work with BNW?
