Is the image part of a rfc rand for civ 5?Intuition is right. Rome is settling more in the area. But why? Settler maps were already guiding settlers that way after all.
So, the reason is the new unique ability of Rome, that turns captured barbarian camps into settlers or cities.
Victory points will also be made associated to Rome historical boundaries, so the AI will be actively trying to win.
The geography of Europe became way less predictable now.
The only thing I haven't seen yet is Roman Britain. But I think it's a matter of luck and sooner or later we'll see that too.
