i have all 3 but i only play C3C. i never put in the PTW CD or the vanilla CD and play either version.

maybe i'm just lazy.

so do you have all 3 and only play one or do you change it up and play all 3 from time to time?

im thinking about playing PTW and vanilla to change things up. vanilla seemed so hard to me though, i was thrilled when PTW came out and it wasnt as hard and i had more civs to play as.

if this thread has been done before forgive me, i havent posted in years.

No reason to play C3 or PTW, if you have C3C. The interface is much better in C3C. I do load up the others, when someone ask for advise on them and I need to play a few turns.

Having gone from CivII to PTW I can't imagine going back and remembering all the details of each and keeping them separate. But then whatever keeps the enjoyment of the game up for you sounds like a good thing. My impression is there wasn't much changed, just added for PTW. Where C3C changed quite a bit. I suppose playing all three gives you a broader perspective for contributing the this forum thou, so more power to you.

The Vanilla game plays considerably different from the Complete game, and I enjoy playing them both. There are pros and cons for both versions, along with PTW. My biggest problem in playing all three versions in remembering what holds true for what game.

I don't see why anyone would play any of the others if you have C3C. It's better in almost every way and provides the complete experience.

I play PTW for GOTM, but that's about it. I like 20K games, and I don't like to war all the time, so SGL rather than MGL for rushing wonders is the big difference for me.

I believe timerover51 means Conquests, instead of the "complete" package of games.
