Vanilla saved games, scenario, mods crash after loading

Well, i thought since i'm forced to use their client and that they're the one who made me update the game to play, they could help me out a bit...

Also, i tried playing with the graphic settings (had pretty much the same idea you mention), but i found that all the advanced saves AND the scenario crash at the exact same moment, upon the transition between the loading screen and the map screen. The fact that it's always at the exact same spot and that nothing like that happened before hinted to something... not graphic related?

Anyways, thanks for your help. I'll contact 2k support (should've done that from the start, lol silly me).

DX, we are looking at a possible problem with the dx9 version and certain ATI hardware. As a side note, your system should be up to spec for playing the dx11 version, you just need to upgrade you operating system to Service Pack 2 to enable it.

Additionally, could you check you civ 5 root directory for .mdmp files that have a date and time that correspond to the crash? That would be very helpful.

I suppose i don't have any choice at this point, there doesn't seem to be a way to reverse the update or to just repair the damage done. I was a bit hesitant to update, since, like i've mentionned previously, i've had problems with the Service Pack 2. Hopefully, it'll solve more problems than it'll cause (as updates seems to do to me, lately).

Regarding your second post, i could not find any .mdmp files related to Civ 5. I don't know much about that, though, so i might've missed the correct folder (since i just made a search on my system) .
