[Vanilla] Team Match 3v3ai - Question

Does anyone still play vanilla Multiplayer? If so, may you explain me this utterly inert AI? It's already very boring to play vanilla with these two friends that are new to the game, even more when dealing against a 3 units-no- buildings-low-tech empire.

Note: We 3 were playing on Emperor
