Version 2.x bug reports

how did you get yours fixed? by adding python? if possible could you give me specific directions? tx, NZ

Well i added a few more items to the python, and i wish Zappra would add these also, its Archery Barrage and Subdue Animals (once you try this you wont want to play without). But i was looking thru the Inquisitor python and noticed a line or two that was missing, it was like three weeks ago, so i cant remember back then, sorry. :blush:
I guess you could PM me with your python files and i COULD take a look, but no guarantee, ok.:crazyeye: Since i have no idea how to do python.:blush:
 
i was thinking that also while playing, that if i could subdue animals like in that "ice god scenario" it would be great. if you could instruct us on how to add the Archery Barrage and Subdue Animals pythons that would be awesome, also, how do i locate/ copy python files? sorry for inconvenience, i manage to load and play but not much else.

About CTDs in 2.2 (that repeats after reloading)
Just want to post additional info that maybe can help in bug investigation.

Game:
BtS v3.17 RoM v2.2 RevolutionDCM+BUG Patch 1.2

First time I got CTD in 1412 year (that its Industrial era in my marathon)
I have loaded save with few turns ago. But in 1412 year again got CTD.
OK. I have loaded saved game with about 10 turns ago and passed this critical year but got CTD again in few turns.
Then I take a look into "PythonDbg.log"
Last line there is: "PY: Revolt - The Japanese Empire is in anarchy!"
So I have removed all japanese cities in WorldBuilder and have passed this critical year successfully! without CTD.

My logs and save in attachments. Hope that helps.

Just checked online, and the error c0000094 is a divide by zero error. Can you post the logs like Nazik did? Maybe then we can look at everything and see what is up.

Also, what are the settings you use when you play (Custom Game settings, I mean)?

OK, playing RoM2.2 w/ Extra Civ, RevDCM, Bug, had already won Cultural Victory, but wanted to get modern units. Had ended turn (Satellites research finished) was building SR-71. Logs are attached and now I'll d/l Rom2.3. This is purely to report a bug and hopefully help solve for Rom2.4(?) if it hasn’t already been solved in RoM2.3.

Yes I love this mod and I want to personally thank Zappara and everyone else that has contributed to this wonderful, fantastic, GREAT mod.

For some reason I cannot indivually select a unit I want, but only do so with a unit the AI selects. Also deselecting is not working. This way I can only select whole unitgroups by moving all units out of a city and then moving same unittypes inside the city again.
I play ROM 2.3 with all standart modules turned on.
Any comments?

yes the same for me sometimes, there is nothing you can do only try to get a technology tha allows you to upgrade those units asap!

Hi. Thanks for this awsome mod! Just started playing it, so i cant add something to the ctd diskussion, but gut a strange bug with my chariots. dont know if you guys already know that one...
My chariots are not really selectable, when i click on them the selected units from before where shown in the unit list, also i cant use any buttons. but i can move the chariot and use the hotkeys. also gut a funny problem, when the game try to change from a city screen to chariot movement. pcitures are attatched. if you need any aditional info, just let my know.

yes there is a slight problem with that, but it's quite easy to get around it . Don't try to select those units while you have the city selected also, instead when you have nothing selected just click in the middle of the city (not on the name bar underneath the city) and you will get the garrisoned units.
At least that is the only small problem I've encountered.
 
Zappara, first off, this is one amazing mod, congrats on making our civ fantasy come true. Yet, I'm puzzled after my own game crashes to desktop. I applied several suggestions, including using a small screen and lowering gameplay quality as well as no movies. Now I find myself in the late game (1968 researching Computer Networking) and I don't know what this problem could be. Is it perhaps the lack of memory? Though my processor and video card are appropriate and my free memory is over 200 GB. Well I'm posting my logs to see if I could get some help. Thanks again.

I apologize if this has been resolved already, but I've been trying tofix this to no avail and I'm decidedly impatient now.

I am trying to run the 18Civ map for RoM2.3, just downloaded it today. But as has been the case for me with versions 2.1 and 2.2, I keep getting the "you have been defeated" message on the very first turn.

2.3 was installed after the old RoM folder was deleted if that helps.

Again I am sorry if I missed the solution, I just keep finding references to fixes and .dlls but no actual instructions to repair the issue.

Concerning:

Bug (in Revolution Mod?) Hotseat Multiplayer Mode:

If your Citizens call for a "change in leadership", and you agree to it, your Civ gets automated and the AI takes over temporarily. Fine. - The problem: All other human players are getting automated temporarily as well. Not the way it should be, I guess. Maybe someone could do something about that in the next patch?

Well, And theres something I have been wishing for a long time: Maybe there is a way of making the "Retire" Option in Hotseat mode reversible? So that one could let the AI take control over a civ for a certain time only, and then the human player could retake control some time later? Or generally, at anytime in game, make it possible to take control over a civ that previously has been AI - controlled?
 
Ui Problems,aka No Ui at all :p
Got 3.17 patch,and English settings.
Windows Xp,and BtS version.
Also tried to fidle around with that Cvpath file,and to reinstall the mod.
P.s(not that experienced with modding etc) But i followed the instructions that came with to the dot.

Hi there!

After a couple of months I decided to give it a try, and unfortunately it went wrong the first turns. My soldiers cant attack barbs. The attacks look like flanking, and the tile where the barb was or still is, becomes unpassable.


Second really serious bug:

When we want to load a game, we cant join the host. We click "join game" but it simply doesnt react.
