Version 2.x bug reports

Malta,

zappara is aware of the problem and is working on it.

JosEPh :)

I have encountered this bug as well. Glad its been acknowledged and is being worked on. I have had to stop my present game and am waiting on the fix or new patch.

Just like to say a big thank you to all the team involved, its brought back my enjoyment of playing civ.

hi i downloaded rise of mankind 2.5 and put it the mod folder however as the game is initialising ( screen with rising sun thing before you click start game) the game crashes to desktop and i get a debug msg.

this one

AppName: civ4beyondsword.exe AppVer: 3.0.0.1 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5512 Offset: 00012aeb

i have patched up to 3.17 and this runs fine on its own.
i have seen some similar errors in previous posts but none for v2.5 of RoM

has anyone had similar errors and has anyone managed to get round it.
i can provide more details if it will help

cheers

@dasvidania

Can you post log files? Let the game run up to the same point as in your picture, close it down and then zip the log files (make sure you have enabled logging in civilizationIV.ini).

it can't find the log file, where is it saved? I often crash to the desktop also with normal map and 34/40 player.

Ok, i understand as it works log module.
I have this picture before to start the game:

and you can find the log file (it's the first turn at startup)

Back! I disabled the religion limiter and am finding this mod absolute coolness once again! I REALLY love the improved Super Spy abilities!

One old problem though, the scoreboard still lacks a "scroll" option preventing me to see who is on top when I play with lots of AI. I wish that would get fixed.

I got this problem a few times with interface dissapering, just alt-tab it and it should reappear

I also get a very annoying error often when starting a game:

memory allocation problem - exiting problem
reason: bad allocation

Same problem, this didn't occur 2.5....But I did download 2.51 megapack.

Always happens when I start a new custom game then go back to main menu and start a new custom game again.

Going through the megapack I found that Abyssinia and Ethiopia are still both in. Funnily even the civilopedia texts are (correctly) using Ethiopia as name for both, as it is the same country and culture. Would it be possible to merge them into ONEciv, with three leaders? Would be more apropriate.

What are your setting? ie High Graphics/Low?? How many civs to start?? How long does it take to start a game ??
What is your OS? need alittle more info is all, thx.

Does the 2.5 megapack include more content than the normal 2.4 install + 2.5 install?
Content is the same, mega pack only has 50 more civs.

About memory allocation problems:

I just tested downloading megapack myself at my friend's computer, installed the mod and then made gigantic map size with snail game speed mode and the mod works just fine here. So at least it will work like a charm on computer which has AMD quad core phenom processor, 4GB RAM, 64bit Vista and 512MB video card.

Windows XP +SP3
NVidia GeForce 7900GT 256MB
2GB Ram
Dual Core E6600

Huge Map + 50 Civ

I can't arrive to play, i have the crash at loading phase

With the version 2.5 without CIV i didn't have this problem

Always happens when I start a new custom game then go back to main menu and start a new custom game again.

I find that it doesn't happen if I entirely leave the client and reload from the desktop though. Otherwise, I have a similar problem.

BTW, running Intel Pent 4 - 3 gig with 1 gig ram and 256 MG video (9800 pro) card. It seems a bit lean for this game and I expect some trouble with the add on pack.

I cannot found more than one religion. I founded Hinduism, and discovered Mono, Budd and Calendar before everyone else but all those those religions were FIADL afterwards. Is that intended (how to modify it) or is that a bug?
