Version 2.x bug reports

I cannot found more than one religion. I founded Hinduism, and discovered Mono, Budd and Calendar before everyone else but all those those religions were FIADL afterwards. Is that intended (how to modify it) or is that a bug?

That is intended. It can be modified by editing the OC_LIMITED_RELIGIONS variable in the GlobalDefinesAlt.xml in the Mods\Rise of Mankind\Assets\XML folder (set to -1 for infinite number of religions to found).

*A couple of civs have bad greeting messages
Sweden and Ukraine just show something like TEXT_KEY_DIPLO

*Toltec unique building "great temple" is not better than a monument

*4th or 5th Piliwni city's name is screwed up

ive got choose religion enabled and everytime i found amun ra the icon for Zoroastrianism comes up with amun ra and i get a mem. allocation failure.

ThX

Update I opened the quick save and tried again with a diff religion and get the same problem with zorastianism then a ctd im thinking the tech has a default religion of zorastrianism but im picking a religion and it dos both and the mod only aloows one so its crashing but i dunno

okay sorry to have so many posts but founding any religion with pick religions off causes a ctd as well

Thankyou

Helicopters:

In modern age, the gunship, especially the AH-64 helicopter, is an overpowered unit. It is superior to nearly every ground unit due to its +100% vs. tracked and vs. wheeled, even its counter unit, the mobile sam, until high tech units occure. Plus the enormous mobility! why bother with tanks?

mobile sam: 33 vs. AH64: 72 lol

The predecessor of the mobile sam, the sam infantery, has better values, because its a gunpowder unit: 31,5 vs. 36.

is this intended?

playing version 2.5 and found 2 probs:
first religion victory required 75% and i reached 77% and no victory
second buildings that get updated like walls or ports are available to be built after the upgrade

edit: also almost forgot i usually play pick religion and for some reason when i found one it gave me 2 the one i picked and the relgion for that tech if not playing choice.....this and upgrade bug came off multiple games the religion victory one i only saw once tho...lol saw i was at 47% so i went all out...kinna disappointing it didn't happen

i just read about the pick religion prob from above...i chose budism and got both it and hindoism both times with no ctd if this helps

I'm having some major difficulties with generating gigantic maps for 30 civs on version 2.51

Anyone having similar?

My problem with the religions stopped once i downloaded the regular 2.5 and updated it to 2.51... I'm not quite sure what that means but I've heard other people have problems because of the extra pack

if anybody can help . . .

gameplay is VERY sluggish (moving units, entering the city screen etc.). Most annoying issue I have is when I have multiple units stacked, only one unit shows.

I cannot select individual units by picture. I can only select by right clicking. (when getting to upper levels this will be a problem, when trying to assemble specific forces)

I have vista 32 bit, 2 gb of ram, BTS 3.17 (which runs great), the mod is 2.51

Does it show the spy point investment selector for you? Its not working for me, so no way to "overinvest" in spionage.

hey zap,

playing latest ver of 2.5. when the cereal event fires I am no longer able to build cereal mills agent at any of the corporations except the home corporate office. plus it doesnt count the already spread corporations. is this wad?

i played multiplay by directIP with version 2.5 and i found some bugs i could not fix:
1 when i found a religion, the adviser came out show me i can follow this faith, but if i choose "no", i could not follow that faith before i convert one religion civic; and also, i could not discover any other religion.
2 when i finished high wall, i found that there was no wall in my city, and i had to rebuild it

Game looks amazing, but I can't seem to play the Colonization scenario. At game startup I am defeated. When it offers to let me choose another civ...none are available and when I select none it CTDs.

I find that it doesn't happen if I entirely leave the client and reload from the desktop though. Otherwise, I have a similar problem.

BTW, running Intel Pent 4 - 3 gig with 1 gig ram and 256 MG video (9800 pro) card. It seems a bit lean for this game and I expect some trouble with the add on pack.

This was the last post relating to the problem. So what's the verdict? The game crashes every time I play. I reduced the graphics settings and tried to start only with 3 civs, it threw me out after 3 hours...

You have probably clicked on some filter button in the interface, try clicking on some.

I've looked at the log files you posted and seems something went wrong with BugPath.py file which is part of BUG mod. Since it looks like their mod file can not find something in that Vista version you are using, I've notified BUG team about a possible glitch in their mod (I haven't been able to figure out what went wrong in that python file). So maybe I can provide better answer in couple days...

On what RoM version? If you updated from v2.4 to v2.5, you'll have to use the updated map/scenario files which start with name RiseOfMankind2.5 instead of RiseOfMankind2.4 because those maps had to be updated to new maximum civ amounts.
