When you pay your Suzerain (a lot of) gold to go to war with you; any civ in the game can counter this by sending enough envoys to achieve new suzerain status. So far in my experience, every CS I'm a suzerain of I'm also just 1 more than some opponent out there.
How do you folks feel about this? It seems so easy to knock a CS out of a war and shaft the civ who paid all the gold to levy the military. I guess the argument could be made that I could have chosen 1 CS to focus on rather than trying to have multiple suzerains. In my case I'm Greece, so maybe Greece shouldn't rely on the tenuous CS alliances for war support.
