Video Game Quiz v2

:yup: Correct but incomplete. Answer the question. :p

I got the answer through cheating...

Maybe we should wait a bit ... 1,2 hours ... maybe someone who played it remembers. The spell in particular is one of the most usefull. :)

So i take this game is good? I'm thiking of buying it!
Fantasy shooter is a concept i find interesting, but there aren't too many (good) games of the genre.

It's extraordinary. Buy it, it'll be worth it... gamespot rated it 9.2 and they don't do that very often. The feeling in this game is overwhelming.

And it's not fantasy, it's horror :p.

Always play at night, with the head set on. It's one of those games where you crave for a moment of peace and silence. I assure you the howlers are not going to let you have silence because if they stopped howling it means they are sneaking and atacking, so i wish you to find corners that will give you a feeling that you are safe. :D

Have you ever read any of Clive Barker's novels ? It is preety obvious in the game that he had a MAJOR role in concieving some scary moments. He is one of those ppl that knows what scares people. :)

Well, the spell is obviously skull storm and the weapon is the Scythe. If you want the full name, I think I recall it being called the Celtic Scythe or Scythe of the Celtics.

This is one of the best "old" games I have bought (I played it way after it was released when average specs were no longer in the 500Mhz range). It's littered with a lot of great Clive Barker creations. I'm a big fan of Clive Barker's movies. It also had walking skeletons which I am very partial to. Even though they're pretty much a horro staple, not too many horror FPS put them in.

:yup: Scythe of the Celts and the Skull Storm.
I just love the wooosh the scythe made when cutting air, and the tilt, and the sound of torn flesh when it hit the target and the sound of the blood spilling everywhere.

I never did saw any of his movies. Books are better. :D

Go ahead and ask. :)

What is this guy's name?

Cata: I've never heard of him and generaly don't care for horror novels. Now horror games, fantasy games, as long as i can throw lightning around and get some slicing and bashing done, it all works great for me. ;)

Yeah isn't it always the case that the books are better. Sorry Heretic, it's been a long time since I've actually read a book outside of school :p but I do follow his action figure set (Tortured Souls) which is just as twisted as expected. He's got a knack for designing demons and their backstory.

Hmm... {Starts frantical search of game disks while babbling "time to slaughter few howlers"}

Alright!

I know that at least Kan and Dell19 know this one:

btw, how much more advanced is Hearts of Iron 2 compared to Europa. I'm thinking purchasing one. I'm hearing that Hearts of Iron 2 is much deeper strategically but I like the time era of Europa more. Or should I just wait for part 3 in Q1 2007

You got it, Till :)
I have never tried HoI before, so I can't compare it to EU... But EU2 is a great game :) I guess Kan will tell you more.

It's a complete difference though. Europa delves into the economical and historical side of Europe a lot more, while HoI is more based on the strategic element of WW2.

Both, btw, are very good games!

If you like the era of EU2, then get it! It's not as if it's expensive anymore. And it's a game you will not regret buying. Then go buy EU3. ;)

I wasn't aware I was so well known for the Paradox games around here. I do feel honoured :)
