Have you played Myst 1 ? I could bet there are at MOST 5 games like that made within the last 2 years. I'm saying 5 just to give it some hope, i know only 1 - this one. The Dark Fall series was pre-2003 i think.
It's a dead genre. The 1st-person-point-and-click-to-go-to-the-next-screen type of adventure.

Nope. It was the 300 'distantly' related Myst 1 style game concepts I created. 100 of them came into actual gameplay, such as Dead Rising.....
