Well, Telltale games has recently acquired the rights to Sam & Max and are making short sequels. Maybe it's Sam & Max : Culture Shock.
The Episode 2 is Situation comedy

@Rhein: Have you played the new episodes? They seem to get good reviews, but just about every game gets good reviews these days...

Wow I didn't actually expect that it was Sam & Max. Also I have played both the new episodes (but because I don't live in America I haven't played the third one) and they are pretty funny but Max's voice sounds out of place sometimes and the puzzles are a lot easier than in Hit the Road and probably the biggest problem is that they are too short. It's still an enjoyable return to Sam and Max.

Nah. There's no way for me to get hold of them since they're marketed on web. Judging from the reviews and the material on the telltalegames website they seem like a great entertainment for a bargain price.
