Video Review - Civilization V - Unbiased and Honest

I'm not here to impress. Just giving my opinion, and that just so happens to include me loving Civ Rev. As I said in the video, I think it's a good option to have in your arsenal, as if you're in the mood to hammer out a full game in a few hours, you could play a quick game of Rev. If you want to go hard-core (which I'm assuming is the category most of you fall under as you're on this forum in the first place), then you can play Civ V.

Your mistake isn't that you love Civ Rev, or you liked Civ5, or that you labelled it honest, or that you hadn't played every Civ game ever made, or even that you did a review at all.

Your mistake was labelling the review "Unbiased."

No one is unbiased.

Your biases are based on your own personal experiences. To you, compared to CivRev Civ5 might seem "hardcore."

To me, at least from a micromanagement POV, CivIII polution hell is hardcore, Civ5 is Hello Kitty Land.

A quality review. Good pacing and content. Well presented and spoken. Appeared professional save for one thing... the shock talk. Donkey balls and other nonsense add nothing. It tanked a professional sounding review. But I liked the WTH moment. That expression is established online culture. Its usage had a describtive point. The other shock talk was just garbage in my opinion.

On another note, the fanatics here in this thread, appear to be looking for a qualfied review. By that I mean they seek review by someone well versed in the Civ series. The harsh judgement your review has received in this thread, is one prejudiced towards veterancy. But I for one, think that your review is useful even to a civ vet. And is especially useful to those new to Civ. A solid 8/10. Would be 9/10 of not for the donkey balls. 10/10 being reserved for unlikely perfection. So yeah, I thought you did a great job!

Thank you much.

Nice review, as always :p
(According to comments, people on the forum think of CivRev as kindergarten and Civ4 as University? So Civ 5 should be around high school?)

I've enjoyed all the Civ games I've played (1,Rev,5). For different reasons with each. I'm actually happy the next game I'm reviewing hasn't shown up on my doorstep yet. It gives me some time to dink around in 5 some more ;-)
