Hello all! Whenever I go into Civ 4 and set my Resolution (1920x1200) it works just fine, yet, when I exit and come back into the game, all of my previous graphical settings are lost. The same happens with the sound settings. The default sound setting is mono and if I choose stereo or 5.1 channel it says that setting will take place after I restart Civ 4. So I do and when I come back into the game, the settings are back to default again. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it seems to do the same thing. Its weird that this game doesnt save settings no matter what I try.

post a dxdiag file please.

Set the rez manualy within the civ four ini file.

as for the audio thing try auto configure on the in game setting and verify thru the dxdiag that your hardware accel it turned all the way up under the sound tab.

I'l try that when i get home, thank you for the help. With the audio, does it matter that I'm using an X-fi card?

I set the res manually and that seems to work although there is no way to set AA settings manually (that I know of) and these settings do not stay every time i reboot. The main problem I am having is that the soud still comes up as mono no mater what I seem to do. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Perhaps you can try set AA in some application in rivatuner or so, it may override the ingame setting, but i haven't tested it.

But textures can be without problem overrided.

P.S. i want too your comp. Wow :)

LOL! Yeah i don't mind having to set my graphics settings each time I play (Whats 1 min of setup time when you play for hours? :) ) but I would love to have ANY other sound other than mono
