Vista problems

I've recently bought a laptop w/ Vista Home Premium and it won't let me run civ3 on it. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Right click on the Civilization application icon.

Under one of the tabs, select "Run as Administrator."

Viola! Works for me.

Can someone help or point me to a thread with solutions to two problems - Tosh Sat laptop with that damn vista home premium - 1. CivAssist II gives err with various process and thread id's; when I edit the standard biq file and use Win Explorer to remove read only check, the Civ Edit pgm does not recognize the change and Win Exp does not see alternate file names I save in Civ Edit. Don't have these problems with XP. Anybody understand what's happening with this??
