I love GTA3. It's my escape from reality. I haven't played Vice City yet, but I'm pestering my wife to get it for me.

And I've been playing Civ3 for two years now. Bought both expansion packs, and will probably buy Civ4 as soon as it hits the shelf.

Gonna have to go with Civ3, tho.

God, I haven't played D2 since long before the beta 1.10 patch was released. Although I played that one hard, too. But Civ3 will beat that one, hands down.

Now, D2 vs Dungeon Siege. . . that would be difficult. I've played on character in DS, and it was a lot more fun than D2, but I never went back and started another game. . .

Diablo 2 will cream civ3. If it was down to those two, I'd bet civ3 would get like 6,500 votes and Diablo 2 would get 16,500 votes.

Diablo 2 got over 10,000 last time, and all the blizzard junkies will flock to it.

I'm defintely voting civ3 over vice city, even though gta3 was great. Turner, we play a lot of the same games.

I don't think Civ3 will do that bad, if most of us here and at 'poly get in on it. Just have to get the word out.

Maybe TF can talk to the admin at Poly, and see if they can get a site announcement going over there. I don't browse there, so they could very well have this going already.

They do, but I doubt total member active here and poly reaches 10000. The next match we should send MAs to make sure we could go to the final round

Hmmm... GTA-VC vs. Civ3. Since I have been playing Civ3 religiously over the last year+, I've bought both of the expansion packs at full price, and I am still totally addicted to it, my vote will be for Civ3.

We need to rally the troops for this match. Send out the runners!

Screw Civilization, you can't ruthlessly murder and rob people in that game. I'm going for GTA all the way! (Just joking.) Civilization III is definetely winning this one.

You know, I thought Vice city was a pretty cool game and had a lot of fun with it. However, after a couple weeks of intense play, I was bored with it. Still classified as a game.

Civ 3 is also great fun. The difference? I had Civ3 for 4 months now, playing intensely, and can't wait to get home to play some more. It's getting to be MORE fun the longer I play it. (due in large part to these boards) As we all know, Civ is not a game, it's an addiction, and possibly even a lifestyle.

Well, strange pair, two very different game, two very good game!
They are so different, a TPS and a turn-based strategy...
I think the Civ is an eternal game, VC is really enjoyable until you've finished it, than you probably won't play that often...
SO I WILL VOTE ON CIVIII!
And I think we will win!

I agree that diablo 2 would probably beat Civ3.

I was so sad to see that halo beat quake. Stupid apple fanboys! Halo owes everything to the technology quake pioneered, and it still is a hell of an online multiplayer game.

It's going to be a close one. Civ3 has had some tough competition before this round. First Final Fantasy Tactics, then Sim City 2000, and finally Grand Theft Auto. All four of these games have taken up countless hours of my life, and all of them have made me groggy and late for work the next day, and all deserve to win. I will have to vote for Civ3 though, because I have been playing it for 1 1/2 years now without any signs of slowing down. No other game has ever been able to keep my interest for that long. I am truly a civfanatic.

Loved GTA, but have been playing Civ for over ten years and it is the best!

But.... there are an awful lot of GTA fans out there - this will be a very tough matchup for Civ to win.
