    We are last place In GNP (which even includes our culture bonus now) so I'm not sure our chances of getting Polytheism first are so good, t54 is still 9 turns away. We will be fine without religion for the time being as Krill says we have resources still to exploit.

    Better, I think, to ensure we get Oracle then use our lead in workers to get our economy in high gear. We should have an easy chance of getting at least one of the other 5 religions latter on when we may actually have need of the happiness, the time to spread and establish it, and the great prophet to found our shrine.

    Religion this early is more potential than actual benefit.

    If I had to make a shrewd guess is was the one that Memphus could optimise the best, which was liekly the polytheism route
