I've been doing Civ 4 on and off since release. Something about my personality or intelligence keeps me from winning on Prince or higher. Are there any step-by-step walkthroughs? I realize such an artifact would be HUGE. I've seen some cool summarized examples here and there, and tried to follow some of these strategy threads, but I can't synthesize them into a coherent all-encompassing theory. I feel like watching an expert play over their shoulder is the only way things will 'click' for me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know, it's really hard to make an universal walkthrough, with every game being so different from the others. There's a crapload of write-ups in the strategy & tips section anyway, and always some active games going on.

Right now just in the first page of S&T: 2 Lonely Hearts Club games, a Noble club game, Boudica's RPG challenge by madscientist, my monarch game, Neal's king of the world, a deity cookbook and an emperor cookbook.

And a lot more in the stickied sample game directory. Sisiutil's ALC games are very detailed.
