Walled, red, plotting and cruel byzantine cities

Hm, maybe I should join the varangian guard... :hmm:
I can supply my own beard, after all. ;)
The funny thing about the varangian guard (mercenary swedes from Russia mostly) is they left grafitti in some of the most impressive buildings in what is now Turkey. A friend from turkey (who mistook me for swede so I now always ask him how things are in his part of greece) showed me some photos of some of their "art work". I had no idea how to read the old script, but a special on discovery channel later translated it as "Gustav was here" and so on.

Perfect! Just... perfect!
About those improvements, I have only a few:
Mosque, Hagia Sophis, Dome of the Rock, Imperial University, University of Paris, Tower of Silence, Pairidaeza... ya, that's pretty much it! I don't know if I'm just gonna use the in game graphics for the other buildings or something. But any help is extremely welcome!
About the Varangian guard: consider me enlisted! Let's tear those stupid normans apart!!! Or perhaps I should join the navy to burn their ships out...

Ty, but it seems that not many people think so, only 17dls up to now
:shakehead

ps: i mostly wrote that so i could use the "shakehead" smiley, with which i am laughing atm

These look incredible, but no I have not downloaded them yet. But when I get home, I will (they won't do me much good being on a school server).

It is not all about downloads, but about adding something to the CIV community - Which you have done many times...

Be proud!

:)

Ty Oilfan :)
You too Curt, and, btw do tell Heresson that civ2 really doesnt run in my xp! :D
I doubt that even you would be able to convince him to try to come here and check my cities though ;)

as for the previous post: i am just tooooooooooo fond of the :shakehead smiley

:shakehead :shakehead :shakehead

For me it is the epitomy of silent dissaproval of one's environment
But ok, i am feeling better now :)

Varwnos, I have downloaded it now, well, yesterday evening. I have not put them into any of my own personal mods ( I always seem to have more than a couple that I am either working on, have given up on, or are simply beginning to plan), but I surely will. One of my mods is fantasy based, and I think I will use them for one of the culture groups in it. Thank you for taking the time to create them, they really are well done.

Hi Varwnos, I followed your link from 'Poly. Very impressive stuff! Love the maps as well.

Is there a Byzantine scenario that goes with this?

@Curt: Don't tell me you've joined the Dark Side as well mate!
