Want to Write a RIFTS Mod--Looking for Help

Doh! Looks like we lost another potential developer.

I have played Rifts for most of my life. I have been waiting for a mod like this for awhile. I know it's been a long time since the last post but I hope you are still working on this. Check out Rifts: Chaos Earth for some early game stuff. It would be cool to start at the beginning of the Rifts world before you stock up on big guns.

Are you still working on this or is it dead in the water?

I also don't know squat about programming, however I do know just about every piece of history and storyline in the Rifts universe (I am ashamed to admit it). There was so much in FFH2 that I thought would be perfect to this kind of world. If we could use the unique terrain features to make things like millenium trees and perhaps even rifts that would be really cool. I realize that there are not any millenium trees in North America (I think) but they are way too cool to not use. If we think I'm sure there are enough memorable places in the Rifts universe to fill the void. Also consider using Naruni Enterprises and other high-tech gadgets as items to be found and carried.

This has got to come together. I have waited too long for it. PLEASE!!

I'm in a similar boat to richundo: I don't know squat about programming but I know plenty about Rifts. I do also have experience as a mobile game tester and can hopefully transfer that to pc testing.
I think the idea was to have as stable a working game as possible before adding too many game elements in. Start small sorta thing. If anyone does want to work on it I think the starting civs, units and techs that xaos had laid out would be enough.

Hey guys I found this thread searching for a Rifts mod. I thought a few scenarios would make perfect worlds to play (Rifts, Romance of The 3 Kingdoms, Game of Thrones). So has anyone created a complete Rifts mod yet? There is enormous potential here. Also do you guys have a blog or something to bring me up to date on the world of Rifts? I've only read a few of the world books, still have yet to find a good Rifts based novel. Give me the complete lowdown on the history and storyline. The longer and more information the better
