The turn chat before last, Babylon declared war on Germany. They are in Republic, and have been fighting ever since. During this time they have gone from strong compared to us to weak and are also weak compared to Germany. A War with Babylon now would enable us to capture cities strengthening our Forbidden Palace core (or possibly even wipe out Babylon altogether), trigger our Golden Age and prevent Germany from gaining territory. Babylon has 3 of the world’s saltpetre, adding this to the 3 we already have would give us a good deal of control over this resource.

This poll indicates that we want war, the discussion on this subject is here for do we want war and here for when which also lays out the plans still further.

There are further polls for do we want an alliance with India and do we want a ROP with Russia.

Please Vote for one of the following

Yes Option 1: declare War when we have 20 knights on the Eastern Front, 10 on the Western Front - probably within 10 turns or so.
Yes Option 2: declare War when we have 30 to 40 Cavalry - probably in 10 to 20 turns or so.
Yes: but some other way (please post what)
No: We don’t want War with Babylon
Abstain

The intention with both Option 1 and Option 2 is once we are ready, to get Babylon to declare War on us by demanding they leave our territory. There have been regular incursions around Mûre from Babylonian troops on their way to Germany, we should not have to wait too long for the opportunity.

This poll will be open for 24 hours.

edited to add links to associated polls on Russian ROP and Indian Alliance

All those figures are excessive. Just bring our troops in position and attack.

Could we have more than a day for a poll about going to war?

BTW, I would have voted against war.

What Furiey most likely meant is that this plan will have to be postponed for a while due to a Russian sneak attack and our destruction of Russia that will follow.

Well now that the *Will of the People* is to "declare war on Babylon" I guess we'll be having a big war.
