Warlords - Earth AD750

Good scenario
but
im in the 1950s and still firing arrows while im being attacked by melle.
my surgestion whould be make the civs more advanced or knock back the year to 950 or place a great scientist and libary in most english, french, ottoand the vikings cities.

the european civs are at a dissadvantage militarly and "breathing space"
my idea whould giving the english, french, ottoand the vikings a larger more advanced armyto simmulate the many english-french wars(hastings 1066).

Why did Alexander replace Augustus for the Byzantines? :D

now they have a phalanx as unique unit, a preatorian would be more reasonable...

No because: 1. that'd make the byzantines too powerful and 2. the byzantines need a counter for all the horse archers the barbs and the Arabs get at the beginning.

This was a good scenario but the time goes too fast.

you should possibly thinking about spliting the islamic nations up because the safavids where big rivals to the ottomans since one was shiites and the others were sikhs i just cant remember which one they were and the mughals became a major player in india almost conquoring it

The scenario starts in AD750, at which time the Arabs are still a state :)

could you also make a vanilla version please?

I'll try to find time for it.

I'm going to make another version of the scenario to make it more balanced and historically accurate, and a vanilla one too.

Taillesskangaru is right the arabs were unified at this time technically, the Ummayad caliphate fell in 750 exactly and thats when the Abbasids came at which point most of Dar al-Islam was unified except for Ummayad spain, idrisid morocco, and sindh.

Ottomans didn't arrive until the 13th century and the safavids and mughals in the 16th century. The Ottomans were most likely sunni, the safavids were shi'ite, and the mughals were probably shi'ite, they persecuted the sikhs quite heavily soo.

JLNijholt you can remake the 750 AD thing for BTS, should be wonderful !

:goodjob: I've been playtesting for a while, using diffent speeds, and am happy to report that 750 AD works perfectly in BTS! I would suggest however using Marathon speed only, as it just seems better suited.

Happy holidays y'all!;)

Good news everyone!

If I have time I will be remaking the scenario. I will set it earlier in history (in AD500 instead of AD750) and I'll put Charlemagne and Justinian in it and make it more balanced.

Well, I hope you have time then!;) (Do you intend a Warlords-version, a BTS-version - or perhaps both?):trouble: :salute: :hammer:
