IIRC staying at war to maintain war fever/happiness/hurrah is prohibited. Can't imagine wanting to keep up WW.
Getting IW fast won't make many GS's, but for settling choise spotting the iron is of course crucial. Rik the map maker knows this for sure and if he's got a good sense of humour, he's given us nearby iron and a good starting location for our neighbours...MIA, Ka-Booom!

I think we should befriend Team Doughnut (but keep an eye on them at all times) as they have a similar UU. Beeline to IW and then Monarchy sounds like fun to me.

Mass upgrading warriors won't work, as we have a lot to research, that will probably be at max, and it costs 90 gold to upgrade a warrior.
