We want a Scientist, and we want one now!

Does anyone realized that if we turn a single citizen into a scientist, we can finish literature in one turn?[i/]
We have plenty of citizens that can be turned into scientists without consequnce. Off tte top of my mind, we can turn the entertainer in Dacula to a scientist, without affected anything, other than our discovery of literature.

We need a scientist! Let's get literature researched, and start building libraries, with are considerably better than temples!

who cares? we will get lit and others on our peace deal,and we dont need scientists the next time because of our GL

Lit? We'll get that after we take the GL; instead, let's switch to another tech that the other civs don't have, and if changing one citizen to a scientist will help, let's do that.

I was afriad of that... No one thinks I actually matter...

All I'm saying is that all our turns spent on research will be wasted anyway. We might as well research it now. Anyway, we need to start libraries ASAP.

Well, if we change to a non-researched tech now, those wont be wasted. Instead, we can sell that tech at HIGH price to all we know.

Yeah, I don't really think we need to worry about science until after we see what we get for free. If we switch to something in pre-turn, we're only going to be one turn ahead. And whatever we switch to we'll probably get with the Great Library anyway. Now once the freebie situation unfolds, there will be plenty of room for discussion.

but everything is better than loosing the science. even if we loose them anyways.

so if our experience sais that one tech normally is rarely researched by the ai, we should switch to that one now to preserve the science we have.

if we get if from the GL anyways, ok. no harm done.

but if we DONT get it from the GL, we have a huge advantage over the AI!

we could trade it to them at high prices until they are broke for example. for high gpt. and thus they dont have any leftover money for war or science then

We were using the single scientist strategy. The scientist was removed on the last turn to hold steady on literature as we were taking the Great Library, so the science strategy could be discussed on the forum. We will get literature as soon as we hit the next turn button so should definitely switch to another tech right now. With the Great Library I think we should most definitely continue with the single scientist model/40 turn research and pursue dead end techs that the AI tends to ignore.

We should research monarchy unless we get it from the Great Library. Hiring a scientist is good as long as we don't starve anyone!
