I thought I'd never make another scenario again but guess I was wrong. My girlfriend wanted to play something where there was no killing and violence. Who am I to deny such an innocent request....so here we have Wealth of Nations.

It is in beta testing now and will soon be available.

Wow! Looks great!! :goodjob:

When can this be downloaded? Have you noticed that the road crossing looks like a swastica?

Looks amazing, as usual kobayashi!

Who are the civilizations?

This has been a long on-going project for me and involves much more research than any other scenario I've made. The design has also been less than intuitive and the worst part has been rewriting all messages, screens and labels into corporate lingo.

1. US - Old Economy
2. US - New Economy
(these two are AI races permanently allied)

3. Europe
4. Japan
5. Far East
6. Unalligned (mainly Australia, Canada, India and South Africa)

7. Eastern Bloc
(another AI only race)

Barbarians = non-corporate entities like NGOs, terrorists etc.

and one other secret race

Is there no Soviet Union economy to contend with?

That's really quite innovative! Hope it turns out good!

Nitpicking: it's Maastricht, not Mastricht :)

I think I've finally solved all the initial imbalances. That took some doing and finally it was halving the scenario length to 150 turns which made all the difference.

I'm playing at 1978 in what is hopefully my final test game. If it works out till the end, I shall be able to release it.

So this scenario will have no combat (attack capable) units?
Interesting...

Orignally I toyed with this concept on the drawing board but came to the conclusion that you still need some attack units. For one thing you need attack units to pillage. Having said that, the attack units are weak in the scenario and you won't get anywhere by pursuing an attack strategy. Its more about accumulating technology and wealth and bribing.

p.s. I am almost done. I've played till 1983 and found nothing wrong yet in my current game.
